Precept Inductive Bible Study is a method of studying God’s word in context, using the Bible as the primary source for information about itself. With the goal of getting to know God deeply, and believing that life-changing power comes from the Scriptures, participants study the Bible using Observation, Interpretation, and Application to discover God’s truth.

DISCOVERING GOD’S TRUTH FOR YOURSELF, BUT NOT BY YOURSELF.

The Lord uses the faithful study of His Word to knit hearts together supernaturally into a community where “iron sharpens iron” and “grace abounds.” You will meet in a small discussion group each week to examine the assigned bible passage using the Precept Guide homework. This is followed by a large group meeting for a video lesson which further enriches your study and exhorts you to apply God’s word to your life.

SHOULD YOU CHOOSE PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT (PUP) OR IN & OUT?

PUP is more in-depth, utilizing cross-references and word studies for a fuller study experience.

IN & OUT employs a condensed format and streamlined homework process, emphasizing application.

BOTH VERSIONS use all of the Inductive Method steps, and include the complete text of the book(s) being studied, relevant maps, charts, and timelines.
