PRAYER REQUESTS

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service.  At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service.  If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Rebecca Cooke at 864-385-3368 or rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.

  • Please pray for Patti Tumas and her family. Her brother passed away on Jan. 24th
  • Please pray for those who lost loved ones last  week. Please pray for them and their families:
  • Carol Ebel  lost her son on December 29th.
  • Donna D'Andrea lost her father, George Bomar, on January 15th.
  • The following people lost loved ones last week.
  • James Shenton lost his wife, Denise Shenton on December 31st.  Obituary:   Denise Ann Shenton
  • Steve Moll requests prayer for his brother-in-law who is recovering from Kidney Cancer.
  • Dave Abela requests prayer for his wife and himself as they recover from surgeries.
  • Jenny Trump is praising for the fact that her mother is home from the hospital and recovering well.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: LAOS

The Communist government, in conjunction with Buddhist monks, persecutes Christians, with the exception of the government-controlled Lao Evangelical Church. Poverty, lack of infrastructure and mountainous terrain make evangelistic outreach challenging. Thanks to bold evangelists, churches continue to grow even as they experience ongoing persecution. Most believers are persecuted by family members or village authorities concerned that Christians offend the spirits, and the central government restricts Christian activity. Via: Ananias House

Way to pray: Pray for training designed to help tribal Christians persevere through persecution and boldly share the gospel.

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: MUELLER

After serving for six years as a pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, NC, Steffen and Elizabeth, together with their two daughters, moved to Munich, Germany to plant a Gospel-centered church. From 2012 until 2020 Gospel Church Munich held its worship services in a suburb of Munich called Gruenwald. Since the end of 2020 Gospel Church Munich is able to have its worship services in a large concert hall in the very center of downtown Munich. By God’s grace many have come to faith in Christ and it is encouraging to see that by far the largest group at Gospel Church in Munich are young adults in their twenties and early thirties.

Way to Pray:  Pray for God to raise up godly leaders and committed members at Gospel Church Munich and that many more people will come to faith in Christ. Also, pray for a spiritual awakening and that the Holy Spirit will help us to make mature disciples.

OPPORTUNITY: BASIC NEEDS DRIVE: PIEDMONT WOMENS CENTER

Piedmont Women’s Center is committed to demonstrating the love of Christ to those facing pregnancy-related needs. They serve women, men, and their unborn babies by providing physical care and personal guidance that many of them cannot find elsewhere.

On Sundays, February 8 & 15*, we have the opportunity to bless their ministry and the mothers and babies they serve by donating the following items that PWC has requested:

  • Baby socks
  • Sleepers
  • Bath towels
  • Washcloths
  • Receiving blankets
  • Pacifiers

These items can be dropped off in the collection bins located at both our Hwy 14 and Adams Mill campuses. *These dates have been moved due to the potential for inclement weather.

MISSIONARY AND PARTNER UPDATES
  • Please pray for Sam Ingrassia (E3) and his family as they celebrate the life of Vicki this weekend. Please pray for deep comfort for all of them.
  • Please pray for David Mung (Myanmar) as he is experiencing some health issues. Please also pray for him and his family as they look for a new space to live that will suit their needs better.
  • Please pray for Kaylyn Brown (Athletes in Action) and her husband Tim as they support Tim's father through a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
  • Iglesia Alumbra, a partner church in Barranquilla, Colombia, asks us to help them pray for a larger place to worship. Please also pray for partners in Domzale, Slovenia, Médard-en-Jalles, France and Potsdam, Germany as they are also feeling the limitations of space!
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: FAMILIES COUNT

This spring, Fellowship Greenville is hosting Lifeline's Families Count (faith-based) parenting classes. These are classes that have been approved by DSS and the court system for parents who have lost custody of their children. Often, taking parenting classes is a requirement of the court for parents to regain custody of their children.

We have two big needs that people can volunteer to serve in.

  • The first is volunteering to be a mentor for one of the individuals who will be taking the parenting class.
  • The second is volunteering to make a meal for 20-25 people the night of one of these classes (meals will need to be dropped off at Fellowship Greenville in Room 200 at 5:15 each evening).

You can register here

The dates of the class are as follows: March 24, March 31, April 7, April 14, April 21, April 28, and May 5.
