"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Rebecca Cooke at 864-385-3368 or rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.
Please pray for these other requests:
- Please pray for Barbara Padgett and her family. She lost her husband, Barron, on Nov. 25th. Funeral services will be at Fellowship Greenville on January 16th. Details TBA Obituary: Barron Thompson Padgett
- Please pray for Rich Froelich and Steve Moll and their families. Both men lost their brothers last week.
- Brenda Covert's brother, David, passed away on Dec. 4th. Please pray for Brenda and her family.
- Bob Rankin requests prayer. He learned on Sunday that he has a brain tumor. His surgery to remove it will be Thursday, December 18th
- Rebecca Cooke would like to thank all who were praying for her husband, Mark. They met with his Oncologist on Tuesday. They were told that Mark would not need to have chemo for his cancer. They believe that they got it all in his surgery. The Cookes are very thankful. Please pray for Mark as he is still restricted in his activities until after the first of the year.
- Tiffany Bunney asks for prayer for her sister, Teresa, as she has a tumor on her brain stem and will be having surgery on January 22nd. Please pray for no complications from the surgery.
- David Abela requests prayer for his wife Jan who had surgery on her Achilles last week. She will have a year long recovery from the surgery. David is trying to care for her as he himself is recovering from 3 surgeries in the past 6 months. Pray for strength for the both.
Until the 1980s, Bhutan was isolated from the rest of the world by its Himalayan geography, poor infrastructure and poor international relations. In 2008, the country adopted a multiparty constitutional democracy and implemented a new constitution that affords a greater level of religious freedom, but Christians still face many challenges. Most Christians in Bhutan are of Nepali heritage, and believers are focused on reaching the ethnic Bhutanese with the message of Christ. Via: Voice of the Martyrs
Way to pray: Pray that Christians will have discipleship opportunities, despite government restrictions.
After serving twenty-six years in Europe (most of which were spent in Athens, Greece, serving refugees), the McCracken family transitioned to life in America and eventually started a ministry that focuses on the holistic transformation of an "at-risk" community (Rockwood) in Portland, OR. Scott has also helped raise awareness about Child Sex Trafficking through presentations in schools, churches, and civic groups. With about 88 languages spoken in Rockwood, they and their local church (asis.church) have had a vision to see life in the Kingdom come to the nations in Rockwood and beyond. In January of 2025, Vicki unexpectedly passed away after complications following surgery.
Way to Pray: Please pray for the McCrackens during the holiday season, as this is their first without Vicki here. Please also pray for Scott as he continues to acclimate to a new rhythm in ministry.
