PRAYER REQUESTS
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Rebecca Cooke at 864-385-3368 or rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.
Please pray for these other requests:

GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: SOUTHEAST ASIA
Last week, heavy monsoon and tropical cyclones in Southeast Asia led to heavy flooding in southern Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. The death toll is currently over 1,300 people right now. Millions of people have been affected, with a million or more people having to evacuate high-risk areas. To see the toll in some of these areas, visit this link. Via: The Guardian
Way to pray: Our own missionary, Jaz Mackey, experienced extreme flooding in her city Hat Yai. While she and her team are safe, they can see the devastation with their own eyes. You can read a bit more about how she and her team are helping here. Please pray for them as they serve and love those who have been affected. Please pray for all those who have experienced loss due to this flooding.
MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: MCCRACKEN
After serving twenty-six years in Europe (most of which were spent in Athens, Greece, serving refugees), the McCracken family transitioned to life in America and eventually started a ministry that focuses on the holistic transformation of an "at-risk" community (Rockwood) in Portland, OR. Scott has also helped raise awareness about Child Sex Trafficking through presentations in schools, churches, and civic groups. With about 88 languages spoken in Rockwood, they and their local church (asis.church) have had a vision to see life in the Kingdom come to the nations in Rockwood and beyond. In January of 2025, Vicki unexpectedly passed away after complications following surgery.
Way to Pray: Please pray for the McCrackens during the holiday season, as this is their first without Vicki here. Please also pray for Scott as he continues to acclimate to a new rhythm in ministry.
OPPORTUNITY: MIRACLE HILL FOOD DRIVE
This Sunday, December 14, we will be holding a food collection drive for our partner, Miracle Hill Ministries. They have a huge need for food items as they serve 600+ people, three meals a day. The need increases significantly during the holidays and colder months as they open the doors to anyone at their cold-weather shelters.
They are specifically asking that people bring the following:
- Coffee (ground--drip)
- Mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup
- Salad dressings
- Cream-based canned soups
- Cooking oil
- Canned fruit
- Shelf-stable breakfast meat
- Grits
- Sugar
- Canned meals--beef stew, chili, soups, etc
Items can be dropped off at either the HWY 14 or Adam's Mill locations in the bins located around the campuses.
MISSIONARY AND PARTNER UPDATES
- Please pray for a brother in the faith, connected with Ananias House, who has recently been arrested for his faith in North Africa. There are many others like him who have been imprisoned. Pray for God's protection and peace to surround them.
- Our partner in Turkey asks for discernment and wisdom this week as she navigates a conflict between some people in her previous church.
- Please pray for Kaylyn Brown (Athletes in Action) and her husband Tim as they support Tim's father through a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- Pray for Nathan Foth (Australia) as he is in Cambodia for a multi-week mission trip. Pray that it is an impactful time for him and those he interacts with. We also celebrate alongside the Foths as their middle daughter prepares to be baptized this month!
- Scott McCracken (Portland) and his team are in Athens to work with refugees starting this week! Please pray for this team as they interact with those they've been called to serve.
- Iglesia Alumbra, a partner church in Barranquilla, Colombia, asks us to help them pray for a larger place to worship. Please also pray for partners in Domzale, Slovenia, Médard-en-Jalles, France and Potsdam, Germany as they are also feeling the limitations of space!
