Main Objective: Summary/Objective: The Adams Mill Ministry Assistant is primarily responsible for providing crucial, proactive, and independent administrative and organizational support to the Adams Mill team. This includes taking ownership of key ministry rhythms and building simple repeatable systems, managing ministry calendars, handling church database work, and assisting the team in the planning and execution of all ministry events. The position also serves as a welcoming first point of contact for Adams Mill and maintains the office environment.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the first point of contact for Adams Mill, including calls, texts, emails, welcome letters, and connection requests, ensuring timely and proactive follow-up.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment in the AM office, Staff Lounge, and meeting spaces.
- Manage ministry calendars, emails, and provide general organizational assistance, taking ownership of key rhythms, scheduling support, and closing loops to maintain all Adams Mill activities.
- Build and maintain ongoing relationships and communication with Community Group Leaders and other key volunteer leaders (updates, reminders, resourcing, and follow-up) so leaders feel supported.
- Provide all data work within the church database for groups, scheduling, projects, etc.
- Work with the Adams Mill Team to plan and execute ministry events, including all administrative tasks.
- Order the supplies/resources for Adams Mill office needs, events, and classes.
- Work with facilities, events, communications, and other departments to ensure that resources are available for Adams Mill activities.
- Other functions or duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Ability to discern, maintain, and manage sensitive and confidential information.
Strong initiative and the ability to work with minimal direction, demonstrating a solution-oriented posture (identifying gaps, building simple repeatable systems, and carrying tasks through with minimal handholding).
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Excellent written and confident, independent verbal communication skills.
Google proficient with an aptitude for learning other computer programs.
Works well in a team environment.
Relates well with others, including ministry volunteers.

Job Status: Hourly, Non-exempt, Full-time, 32+ hours (M-Thur, occasional weekend and evening duties)
