The Lord called Joy into missions in 1996, after working as a family physician for 13 years in Greenville and while a member at Fellowship Greenville. She first served as a missionary on the island of Guam, reaching into Micronesia with medical mission teams, until she was called to serve as the Medical Director at the home office of Baptist Mid-Missions in Cleveland, OH. She has a variety of ministries, including organizing medical mission teams to various countries, assisting missionaries with their health needs, and serving on the crisis management team for the mission family.
Way to Pray: Pray for God’s wisdom in advising missionaries with significant health challenges.
Pray for God’s direction in planning future medical mission trips. Pray as I balance work/ministry with caring for my mother’s health needs.
