Scripture: Luke 24:1-12
SERMON SUMMARY
The Easter Gospel—the core idea of our faith—revolves around two questions:
- Why did Jesus have to die on the Cross?
- Why did Jesus have to rise from the dead?
The message comes from Luke 24:1-12, with a special focus on the word “must” there in vv6-7 — “Remember how He told you, while He was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man “must” be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and rise from the dead on the third day.”
Also, another important passage is Paul’s definition of the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:1-9.
