Foster Care/Guardian ad Litem Info Meeting

James 1:7 reminds us that part of pure religion is caring for the orphan child. Fellowship Greenville wants to offer opportunities for our church family to learn more about how to care well for vulnerable children in our community and around the world.

On Sunday afternoon, November 22, we are offering an informational meeting featuring Rich Sevilla, Miracle Hill's Foster Care Specialist, and Sylvia Walker, the County Coordinator of our state's Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) program. Rich will be in attendance in person; Sylvia will be joining us via Zoom. One of the important things that Miracle Hill does to serve our community is to serve as a private licensing agency for foster care. Miracle Hill offers both support and resources to families who go through their licensing process. The Miracle Hill representative leading this meeting will be able to answer questions and point people in the right direction for next steps. The GAL representative will offer a description of the GAL program and emphasize the important role that GALS play in the lives of children who are in the foster care system. There will also be an active GAL attending in person to answer any questions that people may have about the GAL program. This informational meeting will be a good first step for those interested in becoming a licensed foster family or a Guardian Ad Litem.

This event will be held on November 22 from 4-5pm in Room 264. Limited childcare will be available.

Registration closed on Sunday, November 22, 2020
