Preparing for Foster Care

Children who are separated from their homes face a lot of mental and emotional challenges. The impact of separation, change, trauma, and growth transitions all contribute to their behavior, anxiety levels, fear, and lack of trust. This type of trauma is difficult to prepare for, especially for any parent wanting to participate in foster care. We desire to equip those involved or planning to be involved in foster care with tools to establish trust with a child who has been through a difficult separation.

Every Tuesday evening from April 11 through May 2 from 6:30-8:30 pm, join us and our partners at “Known & Loved” for some intentional equipping time with experienced leaders and couples involved in foster care. Develop a better understanding of what it means to raise children who come from hard places by setting the table for success.
