I was born in Mexico and raised Catholic, being christened as a baby and attending Catholic schools. I would frequently attend mass, but I never had a true understanding of the messages I would hear. 

By the time I started high school, I had stopped attending church and had begun living a more secular life. I continued to believe in God and prayed in times of need, but it was a belief based entirely on my own personal needs. It wasn’t until the woman who would later become my wife asked me, “Do you know what salvation is,” that I realized I never truly understood who God was. This sparked in me a desire to start over and learn about Jesus and the Gospel. My then-girlfriend led me through the prayer of faith on Easter in 2019, and I accepted Jesus into my heart. 

Since then, the Lord has continued to help me grow, specifically in my roles as a husband and a father. God has continued to provide for all my needs and encourages me to trust in Him. In October 2023, God brought us through the doors of Fellowship Greenville, which has offered us opportunities to grow our faith and build community (namely Re|Engage and AM2PM). I am blessed with the opportunity to profess my faith in Him and show the world that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
