Summer Intership

FG Kids

Intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following tasks/projects:  

• Help plan and execute details for each summer Sunday.
• Take ownership of Sundays.
  
• Serve as a director or small group leader during a service.
• Plan and participate in several large group sessions during the summer.
• Work with staff and volunteers to coordinate and prepare resources for Nursery, Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary small and large groups.
• Ensure that each area is clean, organized, and ready for each week.
• Help organize our Summer Serve campaign.
• Manage the volunteer schedule.
• Send weekly planning center sign up.
• Connect with and shadow key staff and volunteers.
• Read required books/materials and participate in discussions on what is learned.
• Organize and work with staff to prep for Fall launch.

What you can expect to learn and experience:

• An understanding of FG Kids and how it fits within the Next Gen. model.
• Relationship building and communication skills with staff, volunteers, and church attendees.
• How to lead ministry at different levels.
• How to develop and deliver a clear message to kids.
• How teams function intentionally and what role you play within a team.
