PRAYER REQUESTS
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Rebecca Cooke at 864-385-3368 or rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.
Please pray for these other requests:

- Jack McKeon requests prayer. He is scheduled for heart surgery on Friday, June 6th. However, after a coughing attack on Sunday, they have found fluid on his lungs. They cannot do the heart surgery until his lungs are clear. Please be praying that his lungs heal quickly so that he can have his surgery on Friday. Also, please pray for wisdom for the doctors as they do the surgery on Friday.
- Tim Collins requests prayer for his sister, Barbara. Barbara has a mass on her breast, and she is meeting with doctors this week to discuss the plans for her treatment which will include radiation treatments. Please pray for the doctors' wisdom regarding her treatments and her recovery. Also, Tim's neighbor has a cancerous tumor on his back. Please also be praying for his treatments and recovery. - Steve Martin is currently battling esophageal cancer. His wife, Cathy, is faithfully supporting him, though she is also grieving the loss of the life they shared before his diagnosis.
- Emily Laird requests prayer for a chronic health issue that has been exacerbated by where she is staying. Please pray for the exacerbating factor to be resolved if it is the Lord’s will.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: LAOS

"The Communist government, in conjunction with Buddhist monks, persecutes Christians, with the exception of the government-controlled Lao Evangelical Church. Poverty, lack of infrastructure and mountainous terrain make evangelistic outreach challenging. Thanks to bold evangelists, churches continue to grow even as they experience ongoing persecution.
Some in Laos, particularly those in government leadership, view Christianity as a foreign religion and a tool used by the West to undermine the Communist Laotian regime. There are many house churches and some church buildings, but the vast majority do not have a trained pastor. Laotian authorities sometimes arrest Christians and detain them for up to a week in attempts to control Christian activity. Christians are commonly denied medical treatment as well as educational and other social services." Via: Voice of the Martyrs
Way to pray: Many churches in Laos do not have a trained pastor. Pray that God will raise up a new generation of church leaders. Pray for outreach efforts among Buddhist monks, who persecute Christians alongside the Communist government.
MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: WHEELER

Miriam Wheeler, MD, joined Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) in 1990 and as of 2019, is currently serving as ABWE's Medical Director of International Missionary Healthcare. For the past 20 years, Miriam served in Odessa, Ukraine where she cared for the medical needs in the small villages surrounding Odessa and Nikolaev and also shared her faith in Christ with people whose spiritual needs are great. Miriam's new role will allow her to serve with a more global impact from right here in the states. Miriam will continue to spend about 2-3 months in Ukraine every year and a portion of her support funds the medical ministry in Ukraine each month.
Miriam graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 1985 and completed her residency in Greenville, during which time she was a member of Fellowship Greenville. After joining ABWE, she served in a hospital ministry in Togo, West Africa until the Lord moved her to Ukraine in 1998.
Way to Pray: Wisdom for giving medical advice to ABWE missionaries around the world and counsel to ABWE administrators concerning healthcare needs. ABWE has 1000 missionaries in over 60 countries. Miriam needs an Associate Medical Director to help carry the load of her work. Please pray God brings along the right person. In Harrisburg PA - Please pray that God would give direction to my local church home regarding the start-up of a free medical clinic or something similar. In Ukraine - Pray for the salvation of village clinic patients, wisdom for Pastor Lonya and missionary FNP Holly Friesen as they direct the medical ministry.
OPPORTUNITY: ADOPTION HELPERS VOLUNTEER TRAINING
Our partner, Adoption Helpers, offers childcare to foster, adoptive, and kinship families, and they do it in a trauma-informed way. They are looking to grow their volunteer base in order to serve more families in the upstate. If you would like to volunteer with them, the first step is to go through their volunteer training! They have a virtual training coming up on July 31 and an in-person training on August 9. Fore more information or to sign up, visit this link. You can also reach out to Dara Lehman (dara@adoptionhelpers.org) for more information!
