PRAYER REQUESTS

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

  • William Walker would like prayers for himself and his mother Nancy.
  • Jack Simonini went into the hospital on Good Friday to have cancer removed from his lung.
  • David Rowles has been diagnosed with cancer and will have an operation on May 2nd.
  • Kelsey Johnston has been battling thyroid cancer for over a year. She is hoping and waiting on labs to come back significantly lower to reflect that the radioactive iodine treatment worked and that God has performed a miracle in her body.
  • Paul Brown would like to get into church more and gain a closer walk with God.
  • Kate McKinney wants her family to trust God more and remember His faithfulness in the past so they can trust Him to direct their next steps.
  • Shaelyn Lee would like prayers for her marriage.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: Myanmar

The widespread, long-running civil war directly affects Christians when they are targeted for attack by the warring factions. Villagers with animistic beliefs take vengeance on Christians, claiming they are angering the local spirits. Church gatherings and church buildings are allowed in many parts of the country, but tolerance varies from state to state. Active believers who share their faith face difficulties. Within tribal groups, families oppose conversion and new believers are subject to close government monitoring. Buddhist monks have actively opposed new Christian converts and evangelists. Pastors face arrest and are usually held for a few days at a time. (via: Voice of the Martyrs)

Way to Pray: Pray for churches in Myanmar as they navigate political instability and uncertainty. Pray for the complicated political situation in the country. Finally, pray specifically for our missionaries, the Mung family, as they minister to those around them.

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: Ingrassia

The Ingrassias have been serving more than 20 years with e3 Partners Ministry, an international evangelism and church planting ministry headquartered in Plano, Texas. Sam has led evangelism/church planting teams and leadership development conferences to Russia, Sicily, Moldova, Venezuela, Paraguay, Brazil, Haiti, and Guatemala. He serves on the senior executive team with e3 Partners, and his target country is Colombia where he serves as Strategy Coordinator.

He attended Dallas Seminary, was a Bible College professor at one time and also a pastor at Jacksonville Chapel in New Jersey. Sam and his wife, Vicki, have been married for close to 40 years and have three adult daughters.

Way to Pray: Praise and prayers for the international expansion and influence of the e3 Colombia Mentor Network--equipping in healthy church establishing. Their Colombia leaders are now reaching out in Brazil, Peru, Amazon region, Mexico and even to Spain and France via internet connection and trainings. Please also pray for the Ingrassias as Vicki has faced some medical issues over the last several weeks.

OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: Pine Cove City--Urgent Host Homes Needed!

This June, we will have Pine Cove City with us again! That means there will be over 30 camp counselors that need to be housed. We are looking for 3 more homes that can take 3-4 guys from June 18 through June 25. They provide their own air mattresses if needed and would need space to sleep and a bathroom. They will have their own transportation. Breakfast is usually something they can grab on the way out (granola bars, etc). They leave early to get to FG and prepare for campers each day.

These campers serve our kids attending this camp so well. Will you consider serving by hosting them? If you are interested, you can check out Pine Cove Host Home Info or can contact Katie Bullock at kbullock@fellowshipgreenville.org!
