PRAYER REQUESTS

Ron Jordan recently found out that his melanoma has returned. Please pray for him and his family during this difficult time.

Please pray for struggling marriages.

GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: Bangladesh
"Among the more than 600,000 Rohingya people who fled Myanmar in 2017, a relative few have come to faith in Christ while living in refugee camps in Bangladesh. These believers are now facing persecution in the predominantly Muslim camps. On May 10, a group of extremists beat and stabbed a 14-year-old Christian boy, and two days later a mob attacked 10 homes of believers in a part of the camp where the boy’s family lives. Later, the extremists kidnapped the 14-year-old boy, along with a 4-year-old boy. Though the boys were able to escape and return to their families within 24 hours, the teenager said the extremists forced him to recite Islamic creeds and told him he would have to join them on religious trips for several months (via icommittopray.com)." Way to Pray: Pray for these relatively new believers who are facing persecution inside the refugee camps. Pray that the 14-year-old will remain firm in his faith, and pray for the protection of all Christians in the camps.
MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: Gonzalez

A native Colombian, Bernardo Gonzalez pastored a Colombian church and worked with several missionary organizations for over 13 years while working a secular job for 10 of those years to support his family. In 2011, Bernardo stepped into the role of Colombia National Director with e3 Partners. In this role, Bernardo now devotes all of his energy to reaching Colombians for Christ by coordinating the efforts of different Christian associations and churches to accomplish this goal. His vision is to help grow a passion for church planting in the local church. He and his wife, Mildred, have been married almost 15 years and have two daughters, Emily and Mariana.

Way to Pray: Continue praying for Bernardo and Mildred as they learn the best way to handle the diagnosis of low-level autism for their daughter, Emily. Please pray for Bernardo as he works to mentor pastors in Colombia.

OPPORTUNITY: to Participate

To foster hearts and minds focused on serving others both globally and locally, FG Outreach is offering students a way to serve and learn from some of our local and global partners! On July 22, students can sign up to do a light construction project with one of our local partners to serve a local family. Then, in the afternoon, they will learn from one of our global partners about refugee care and how to serve those around us. Lunch and dinner will be provided for students.

This is an all-day event starting at 8:30am. It will cost $15 per student for this service day to cover costs for lunch and dinner. There is limited space so make sure to sign up as soon as possible.
