Christina has been a part of Fellowship Greenville since she was a young child. She grew up in FG elementary, middle school, and high school programming and even interned with FG one summer. After going on an FG short term trip to work with T.E.A.R.S. Ministries in La Vega, Dominican Republic in 2012, she fell in love with all things D.R. Over the next 4 years, she returned 3 times for a grand total of 8 months. As she experienced real life (as opposed to team life), built relationships, and continued to learn more Spanish, her love for ministry there grew.
Following her graduation from Clemson University in 2015, Christina felt the Lord calling her to officially join the T.E.A.R.S. team and work full-time in the barrios of La Vega. Christina headed to the field in May of 2017. She is currently working as the Missions Administrative Assistant for T.E.A.R.S. Her heart to build relationships, work alongside Dominicans, and expose the hope found in Jesus will help shape what her days look like outside of her administrative tasks. Christina believes that every day spent in D.R. with her T.E.A.R.S. family and Dominican friends is a day well spent.
Christina loves Fellowship Greenville, and FG is proud to be sending her to D.R. to be a part of what God is doing there.
Way to Pray: Pray that the Lord would speak clearly to me about the future and about how to step in obedience in ministry. Pray that I will continue to trust the Lord even in the midst of a hard season. Pray that I keep Jesus, His Kingdom, and His glory first and foremost. Our hope is that the local church would be on fire to reach our community with the gospel, to go out and love people, and serve people and be persistent.
