PRAYER REQUESTS

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

  • Pray for the couples who begin ReEngage, our marriage ministry, this week. Pray also for the leaders who are leading it.
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: NORTH AFRICA

"Front-line workers thank God that officials allowed 40,000 Bibles printed in a local language to enter a North African nation.'We encountered numerous unexpected obstacles within the last month in trying to clear the container out of the port,' said one front-line worker. 'Through it all, the Lord was teaching us to trust and rely on Him more.'" (Via: Voice of the Martyrs)

Way to Pray: The worker and local Christians request prayers for continued favor with local officials and that all the Bibles will be safely distributed to Christians who need them.

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: FOTH

Nathan and Rene Foth have been on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) for more than 15 years and have served on college campuses in East Asia, Sweden, Argentina, and Dominican Republic. They have also served on short-term trips in Central Asia and South Asia. Most recently, the Foths served in Charlotte with Bridges International, an international student ministry on the campus of UNC-Charlotte. As of December 2019, the Foths are serving with international students in Sydney, Australia. They have three daughters: Anabelle, Elianna, and Lillian, whom they consider their secret weapons in welcoming and building relationships with international students from China, India and the Middle East.

Way to Pray: Pray for the Foths as they continue to build relationships with students in Australia. They are currently doing a Thursday discipleship group. Pray for the students in that group to continue to come to the understanding of who Jesus is and the plans He has for their lives. Please also pray for them as they think ahead about ministry this year and next in Australia.

OPPORTUNITY: E3 Trip Informational Meeting

For nearly two decades, Fellowship Greenville has partnered with E3 Ministries, whose ministry seeks to multiply disciples and churches across the globe. Over this time, we've taken numerous trips to various cities in Colombia with the purpose of partnering with E3 to share the Gospel. In 2023, we will be sending teams to Cali, Colombia, and Barranquilla, Colombia which will have a medical component to it..

Join us on Sunday, January 29th at 11 AM in Room 264 to hear more from the team leader Craig O'Neal (craigoneal086@gmail.com) and E3 Staff Members. During this time, they will talk about E3's ministry, the ministry in Colombia, and give an idea of what to expect with these trips. If you are a doctor or nurse, the October trip to Barranquilla will provide you a wonderful opportunity to serve. You will get to hear from our own Dr. Mark Call about what the medical component of this trip looks like.

If you're at all interested in an E3 short-term trip, this is a great way to learn more!

OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: ENCOURAGE MISSIONARIES

Phil and Debbie Melton had served in Japan with EBM since the 1980s. They serve three churches in the cities of Seki, Kani, and Sakaohogi, and have been working on the completion of Camp Raphayada, a 120-person Christian camp facility in Mugi Cho. Their ministry is expanding annually, and they are seeing individuals follow Jesus with some committing to serve him in full-time ministry. Phil and Debbie have six children and eight grandchildren. After over 30 years as missionaries they are now serving with IBM Global. On Sunday, January 22, Phil and Debbie Melton will be with us in the commons. Stop by the table to encourage them and learn about their ministry in Japan!
