PRAYER REQUESTS

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

  • Torrence Aldred went to be with his Savior and wife on Monday, December 26th. His daughter and son-in-law are Katie and Mike Evans. A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at Fellowship Greenville, Auditorium 2, on Monday, January 9th, at 11:00 A.M. There will not be a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to The Billy Graham Library
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: NORTH AFRICA

"Front-line workers thank God that officials allowed 40,000 Bibles printed in a local language to enter a North African nation.'“We encountered numerous unexpected obstacles within the last month in trying to clear the container out of the port,' said one front-line worker. 'Through it all, the Lord was teaching us to trust and rely on Him more.'" (Via: Voice of the Martyrs)

Way to Pray: The worker and local Christians request prayers for continued favor with local officials and that all the Bibles will be safely distributed to Christians who need them.

MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: FLETCHER

Joel and Lauren married in 2014 knowing that God was calling them into overseas work. Over their married journey, God has graciously been the steering winds in the sails, highlighting items He wanted them to be involved in. Joel fell into an agricultural role at a small Christian college. He discovered that agriculture is the culmination of his desire to grow men and use teachable moments well, and paired with the drive to work outside with his hands. The Lord highlighted a love and gift for languages and culture in Lauren, and she has been pursuing her masters degree in Applied Linguistics for use in Translation work.

The Fletchers are on the field in Southeast Asia to work with an unreached Muslim group. There, through farming and language, they are making disciples and sharing the abundant life that God gives. Way to

Pray: Please pray for Joel and Lauren as they continue to settle into the region they are working in. They have been encouraged by the relationship-building that is happening through their agricultural training. They have had several new opportunities arise and are excited to see how God uses these opportunities to continue to build relationships. Please also pray for Joel's mother who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

OPPORTUNITY: E3 Trip Informational Meeting

For nearly two decades, Fellowship Greenville has partnered with E3 Ministries, whose ministry seeks to multiply disciples and churches across the globe. Over this time, we've taken numerous trips to various cities in Colombia with the purpose of partnering with E3 to share the Gospel. In 2023, we will be sending teams to Cali, Colombia, and Barranquilla, Colombia.

Join us on Sunday, January 29th at 11 AM in Room 264 to hear more from the team leader Craig O'Neal (craigoneal086@gmail.com) and E3 Staff Members. During this time, they will talk about E3's ministry, the ministry in Colombia, and give an idea of what to expect with these trips.

If you're at all interested in an E3 short-term trip, this is a great way to learn more!

MISSIONARY AND PARTNER UPDATES
  • Please pray for all those who are displaced from their homes and ministries like ABWE and World Relief who are serving and caring for them.
  • Pray for the Foths (Australia) as they prepare to head home this week! Pray that they will get settled in quickly and that this new year of ministry will be fruitful.
  • Please pray for the Hallfords (Alaska) as they serve military men and women. They recently got a ton of snow! Keeping their driveway and parking pad clear of snow is vital to the ministry they do in their home. Pray that they can keep it clear and also for safety of those traveling on snowy roads.
